Apple Walnut Canadian Butter Tarts

Ingredients
- Cooking Spray
- Flour for Dusting
- 1 Pond Pie Crust
- 2 Cups Apple Juice
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 6 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 tbsp Whipping Cream
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts
Instructions
- Step 1: First of all, you have to collect all the ingredients in different containers. Next, you have to preheat the oven to 375 degrees F(190 Degree C). And then, spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
- Step 2: Dust a clean surface with flour and roll the pie dough into a long sheet. Now cut the sheet into small circles with the help of a pastry cutter.
- Step 3: Transfer dough into a lightly sprayed muffin tin. Cover it into shapes and refrigerate it.
- Step 4: Add apple juice into a sauce pan and simmer over high medium flame until it turn ¾ tablespoon of apple syrup. Set aside.
- Step 5: Place brown sugar in a bowl and add apple syrup to it. Add melted butter, egg, cream, vanilla, and salt to the mixture. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and liquid.
- Step 6: Bring the pastry out of the fridge. Divide walnut on top of the tart shell's bottom. Pour filling on top about 2/3 full. Tap the pan to level it the same.
- Step 7: Bake it in the oven until it becomes crispy and crust, about 20 minutes. After it’s cooked cool it down for 10 minutes and remove it from the muffin tins.
- Step 8: Serve and enjoy.
